"Key Enabling Methodologies: Shaping changes through artistic research" at the SIA Congres, 28 November 2024.
Video stops during audience questions.
"In this session, we will dive into the topic of Key Enabling Methodologies (KEMs)! KEMs aim to offer professionals a targeted approach to the development of innovations and interventions that contribute to solving societal challenges. How do you use these methods in practice-based research? We will critically explore KEMs as a research-compass. Bringing together perspectives from art and design researchers in universities, applied sciences and societal partners, the discussions will share examples of how artistic methodologies can respond to complex social challenges: from health and care, to energy transition and agriculture."
With Laura Cull Ó Maoilearca (DAS graduate school), Daniëlle Arets (Fontys), Fabiola Camuti (HKU), Josien Pieterse (Framer Framed, Amsterdam) and Sabine Niederer (Hogeschool van Amsterdam).
